1 Corinthians 15.1-11

Christians live a life that demonstrates that the gospel of Jesus is most important above all other things.

The gospel - the whole story of Jesus's perfect life, substitutionary death, burial, resurrection, and reign - is the BIG story, the ONLY story of all of the Bible. In the gospel God's glory is revealed - that He would save sinners for His glory and by so doing reveal His glory. In the gospel people find their enjoyment in the God who has created them and has a purpose for them. The gospel is a big deal, bigger than we have yet thought. The gospel works not only to rescue us for Heaven, but also as the power for faith, repentance, generousity, reconciliation, and every other facet of godliness. So, if the gospel - as Paul says in I Corinthians 15 - is of first importance, what ought the life of a Christian look like? This week we see that Christians are empowered to live a life that demonstrates that the gospel is of greatest importance.
